Freedom Insurance Services was established back more than a decade ago in 2002. The company was one of the first within the United Kingdom to develop specialist travel insurance which covered pre-existing medical conditions. Freedom say of this unique feature of their cover "We recognised the travel insurance industrys difficulty to deal with pre-existing medical conditions and felt that to decline a person based on medical history was unfair. So, we set about to make some significant changes!"

Freedom also say of their operations "We have achieved great success since starting out and now insure 25,000+ people a year. We are recognised by over 3,000 medical charities and NHS hospitals throughout the UK and our expert service has led us to expand, both in staff numbers and medical screening assignments for high street travel agents. We are proud to have AXA Insurance UK plc underwrite our specialist travel insurance policies. Freedom is a wholly owned subsidiary of the NW Brown Group Ltd, based in Cambridge. Both entities have supported Freedoms vision from the beginning.

We maintain a clear focus here at Freedom, and that is to provide our customers with a fair, honest and reliable service. Freedom is unique in its approach and however clichéd it may sound; we really are a travel insurance company with a difference.

We like to talk, so much so that we have a team of Travel Insurance Advisers that do just that, all day, every day (except Sundays). Our team is here to LISTEN and trained not to pre-judge any situation. We appreciate everyone is different, so we apply sensitivity, understanding and common sense when guiding customers through the medical screening process. One thing is for certain, the experience of talking to so many customers has definitely made our team medically aware!
