AEGON is present in over twenty countries with predominant stregths in America, Holland and the UK. AEGON was established in 1983 through the merger of two dutch insurance companies; AGO and Ennia. In the United Kingdom, AEGON (a brand name of Scottish Equitable plc) has existed since the 1830s. AEGON Scottish Equitable International is now known as AEGON. Scottish Equitable became part of the AEGON group in 1994. AEGON offer a wide range of traditional, term, universal, permanent life insurance. They also offer group and individual financial protection including health and accident cover.
Operating in the United Kingdom, Aegon offers pensions, protection and investment services. The company has over two million customers and employs over three thousand employees. Aegons UK division was awarded with the Investor in People accreditation in 1997.
