ADVO Group People

All our staff are required to become members of the Chartered Insurance Institute within a year of joining. They also undergo continuous on-the-job training. 
ADVO became a holder of the Investors in People Silver Award in December 2013.

Investors in People is central to helping employees become customer focused, enabling organisations to effectively meet customer needs.

ADVO clients each have a dedicated Account Manager. 

The ADVO Group is led by five directors, Larry Bulmer, Chris McCracken,Colin Boxall, Gill Mateo and Kevin Crew.

Larry Bulmer

Larry Founded ADVO Group in 1997 (as Health Decisions), having previously worked for BUPA.

Larry is a major driver of ADVOs success and remains fully involved in the day-to-day running of the business.

Chris McCracken

Chris co-founded e-Xcellenthealth with Colin Boxall in 2000 having worked for seven years in Financial Services.

He was instrumental in designing connectedhealthâ„¢ - an integrated solution combining health and risk which has been incorporated into ADVO Onlines client services portal.

Colin Boxall
Commercial Director

Colin joined ADVO Group’s board in 2008 after the merge with e-Xcellenthealth and has twenty years experience in employee benefits.

He leads the new business team and is a key player in introducing ADVO Online to prospects and clients.

Colin is widely respected within the industry and has won numerous awards. He was voted the UK’s ‘Intermediary of the Year’ in 2006 (Health Insurance Magazine) and 2008 and 2009 (Corporate Advisor Magazine)

Kevin Crew
IT Director

Operations Director
